A member-owned ski co-op

A ski mountain owned by the people who ski it.

Ski-Op Mountain is a cooperative organizing to buy land or reopen a defunct ski area and run it for its members instead of for a balance sheet. We are in the search and organizing phase right now — no mountain has been acquired yet, and we would rather tell you that plainly than dress it up.

Low frills. Good vibes. Cheap food.

What we're building

The whole point is a mountain that answers to skiers, not to a spreadsheet.

Where we actually are

Status board, updated as things move. No spin.

There is no mountain yet. Nothing has been acquired, optioned, or put under contract. This is the search and organizing phase, and this board is exactly how far along it is.

Done Cost modeling — what it takes to run a small mountain, built from the ground up.
Now Site screening — working through candidate land and defunct ski areas.
Now Bylaws and structure — how membership, voting, and governance actually work.
Next Entity formation — standing up the cooperative as a real legal entity.
Next Site diligence — deep review of the sites that survive screening.
